"What sound do you make?" asked Martina.
"Cock-a-doodle-doo!" he said.
"No, thank you," she said.
Today, I read Martina the Cockroach, one of the 15 books in the Folk & Fairy Tale Easy Readers from Scholastic. Martina finds a gold coin and goes shopping for clothes and perfume. Then she looks for a husband. But she doesn't like the sounds that most of her prospective husbands make.
